Propaganda poster question.....................?…

From an artistic standpoint it is appealing because of the warm, contrasting colors. The sailor is tall, handsome and is wearing a spiffy uniform. The armed forces tended to glorify the lives of military men to get more people to enlist. A person might look at this poster and think the Navy life is quite good. Just look at this guy, he's happy and getting some time off to explore some foreign city that the ship has anchored at.I know this is a WWII poster depicting a sailor on leave. From the look on his face, he appears to have had a good time in the Navy. However, the poster doesn't show the reality of war; millions of sailors came to shore in body bags. For me personally, this poster is deceptive and frightening. Peace!
