Have you ever experienced "The Great Lonely Boredom"? How did you get out of it?

With so many billions of people in the world it seems like it should be easy to meet people and make new friends. But the truth seems to be as the world becomes more populated the more isolated everyone is becoming. Try joining some organizations that interest you. If you are political join one of the parties and volunteer to help out. Other types of volunteerism also gives you the opportunity to meet people. The Red Cross and Easter Seals for example. And if all else fails, get a part time job in a store like Walmart or a Convenient Store. Some place where you have a lot of contact with the public and co-workers. A great recreational activity that helps you interact with others is camping. People who usually wouldn't give each other the time of day in their neighborhoods suddenly become the best of friends when at the local camp grounds. Good luck.
