What can I say to him? He thinks I'm crazy?

So, the guy I like thinks that I stereotype guys. He told me this right when the bell rang for lunch, so I didn't have time to defend myself. I wanted to say something, because I'm really not. What happened was, he had made a statement about something, then I looked at him and laughed. He asked me if I thought he was being perverted, and I told him yes, because that's how it seemed. I didn't mean for him to go and tell me I stereotype guys way to harshly. I don't know what I'm going to say to him tomorrow. I just want him to know that I didn't mean it. Help?
