To a Jew: Do Jews and Christians worship the same God?

I do question this. But, if I use my imagination, I'd say that the God created everything that only us can change ourselves. Take a look on little things, like necrophilia, or deviant people, murderers. Why do most people aren't capable of killing others even if they have a chance. In general, people are nice otherwise I can't go out.
